liver sashimi
A dish of raw liver sliced and served sashimi-style, typically with soy sauce and sesame oil. Often made with beef or pork liver. Note that serving raw liver was banned in Japan in 2012 due to health risks, so this term is now mostly historical or refers to dishes using liver that has been prepared to meet safety standards.
