When you get a four-of-a-kind and a pair in your dealt hand, it becomes easier to form a scoring combination.
The term is derived from the numbers 一 (one), 二 (two), and 四 (four), likely referring to the card counts in the hand: four of one suit and a pair (two) of another. The exact origin within hanafuda terminology is uncertain.
