Traditional East Asian medicine term for the nine openings of the body: two eyes, two ears, two nostrils, mouth, anus, and urethra (or genital opening). Rare outside of classical medical or philosophical contexts.
In traditional Chinese medicine, the condition of the nine orifices is sometimes examined to assess internal imbalances.
