Used when someone (traditionally a woman) marries and takes on domestic duties, or when a person leaves the workforce to manage the home. The expression is somewhat gendered in traditional contexts, but can apply to any gender.

• 彼かの女じょは結けっ婚こんして家か庭ていに入はいった。

  She got married and became a homemaker.

• 仕し事ごとを辞やめて家か庭ていに入はいる男だん性せいも増ふえている。

  More men are quitting their jobs to become homemakers.
