Little New Year; Koshōgatsu
A traditional Japanese festival held around January 15, marking the end of the New Year period. Also refers to the 14th–16th days of the first month. Often associated with eating azuki porridge and decorating with mochi.
There is a custom of eating azuki porridge on Little New Year.
