Shōgitai
A historical group of former Tokugawa retainers who opposed the Meiji government and fought in the Battle of Ueno (1868).

The name 彰義隊 (Shōgitai) literally means 'Manifest Righteousness Corps'. It was formed in 1868 by former Tokugawa retainers.
