思おもい知しらす

make someone realize; teach a lesson; bring home to someone

Used when someone is forced to understand something, often a mistake or harsh reality, through experience or strong words. Similar to 思い知らせる but with a slightly more forceful or direct nuance.

  I used harsh words to make him realize his mistake.
