Historical term for the five Fujiwara families (Konoe, Takatsukasa, Kujō, Nijō, Ichijō) that monopolized the positions of regent (sesshō) and chief advisor (kanpaku) in the Heian period and beyond.

摂せっ家けは藤ふじ原わら氏しの五いつつの家か系けいから成なっていた。
The Sekke consisted of five families of the Fujiwara clan.
近この衛え家けは摂せっ家けの一ひとつとして知しられている。
The Konoe family is known as one of the Sekke.
