Buddhist service for hungry ghosts

A ritual in Japanese Buddhism to feed and comfort the spirits of the dead, especially those suffering as hungry ghosts (gaki). Often performed during Obon or at temples.

• お盆ぼんの時じ期きに、お寺てらで施せ餓が鬼きが行おこなわれる。

  During the Obon season, a segaki service is held at the temple.

• 施せ餓が鬼きの法ほう要ように参さん列れつした。
