partially handicapped person (ritsuryō system)
Historical legal term from the ritsuryō codes, referring to a person with a partial disability. Not used in modern Japanese outside of historical or academic contexts.
Under the ritsuryō system, partially handicapped persons were exempted from some corvée labor.
