A traditional Japanese resist-dyeing method where dye is poured through a stencil onto folded fabric, creating blurred, soft-edged patterns. Used especially for tenugui and yukata.

From 注 (chū, 'pour') + 染 (sen, 'dye'), referring to the technique of pouring dye onto fabric.
