Technical term in the study of the I Ching (Book of Changes). Refers to the explanatory text attached to each of the 384 lines (yao) of the hexagrams. Not used in everyday conversation.

• 易えき経きょうでは、各かく卦けの爻こうに爻こう辞じが付つけられている。

  In the Book of Changes, each line of a hexagram has a line commentary attached.
