Idiomatic expression; literally 'to get a callus on one's ear'. Used when someone has heard the same advice, complaint, or story so many times that it becomes tiresome.

My mom has told me 'hurry up and get married' so many times I'm sick of hearing it.
その話はもう耳にタコができるほど聞いた。
I've heard that story so often I've got calluses on my ears.
