When going plant collecting, I take a vasculum.

A small, often leather, shoulder bag or satchel. Less common than the botanical sense.
An old leather satchel turned up among my grandfather's belongings.
The origin is uncertain, and the spelling 胴乱 is generally treated as phonetic ateji. It first denoted a small case or pouch worn at the waist and was later applied to a botanist’s specimen case.
