be drawn in by something wicked; be won over by evil
Archaic intransitive verb. Describes being seduced, tempted, or spiritually ensnared by something malevolent, such as a demon, curse, or wicked influence. Not used in modern Japanese.
In old tales, there are scenes where a traveler is drawn in by a sinister presence and loses his way.
