reserves; potential capacity
Technical term used in energy and resource contexts for the estimated total amount of a resource that exists in a given area, whether extractable (oil, gas) or harnessable (wind, solar).
Japan's potential capacity for wind power is large, but actual development has not progressed.
The reserves of natural gas in this region have not yet been accurately assessed.
Formed from 賦存, denoting the existence or natural occurrence of a resource, and 量, “quantity.”
