evil view; wrong view; perverted view
Buddhist term for a distorted or mistaken perspective, especially one that leads away from enlightenment. Often contrasted with 正見 (right view).
In Buddhism, wrong view is considered one of the causes of suffering.
He was caught up in perverted views and lost sight of the right path.
