Archaeological term for a smaller mound built near a larger keyhole-shaped tomb (前方後円墳) during the Kofun period (ca. 3rd–6th centuries).

• この前ぜん方ぽう後こう円えん墳ふんの周まわりには、いくつかの陪ばい塚ちょうが確かく認にんされている。

  Several subsidiary burial mounds have been identified around this keyhole-shaped tomb.
