In old documents, the word 饋電線 is used to mean a feeder line.
Compound of 饋 (ki, 'to send' or 'to supply') + 電 (den, 'electricity') + 線 (sen, 'line'). The exact historical derivation is uncertain; the spelling is conventionally associated with the meaning of a feeder line.
