きってのOne of the foremost in a group
きっての singles out the following person or thing as a leading or especially notable member of a named group. It carries a stronger, more promotional tone than an ordinary superlative.
How it works
The noun before きっての establishes the group being considered. The noun phrase after it identifies the person, place, product, work, or other member that stands out for skill, popularity, reputation, size, or a similar positive quality. English translations often use “a leading,” “the foremost,” or “one of the most notable.”

Notice that each sentence names a meaningful group and then places a notable member within it.
同社きっての若手技術者が、新型電池の開発を率いている。
One of the company’s leading young engineers is heading the development of a new battery.

きっての does more than say that something is good. It presents the person or thing as widely recognizable as a leading member of the group. The claim need not identify a mathematically exact number one, but it should sound plausible as a public reputation or accepted evaluation.
Compared with an ordinary superlative
の中で ... が一番 makes a neutral, explicit comparison and works productively with many qualities. By contrast, きっての packages the ranking into a phrase before a noun and gives it a stronger profile-like or promotional tone.
三つの案の中で、この案が一番現実的だ。
Of the three proposals, this one is the most realistic.
