としたところで・ にしたところで・ にしたってEven in that case; even for
These forms select a person, category, or assumed situation and concede that even in that case, the following difficulty or limitation remains. They often suggest that the selected case may look exceptional, but it still cannot escape the same conclusion.
The key idea
The speaker first chooses a case that might seem capable of producing a better result, then says that the same obstacle still applies. Natural conclusions include inability, lack of a meaningful exception, limited influence, or a result no better than in other cases.
People and exceptional-looking cases
With a noun, the construction means “even for that person or case” or “even from that position.”

AnalyzeSelecting an assumed situation
After a clause, use としたところで to grant an assumption before explaining why it would not materially change the outcome. This often translates as “even assuming that” or “even if.”
仮に締め切りを一週間延ばしたとしたところで、根本的な人手不足は解消しない。
Even if we extended the deadline by a week, the fundamental staff shortage would remain unresolved.
AnalyzeViewpoint versus unchanged outcome
The form にしたら simply presents someone's standpoint; it does not itself mean that the person cannot escape the same result. General としても broadly means “even if,” while にしたところで foregrounds a selected person, category, or case and emphasizes that the conclusion remains limited or unchanged.
