からしてStarting with a telling example
からして selects one telling member or feature as the starting example and suggests that the same evaluation applies more broadly. It often has the force of “even this part” or “starting with this.”
How it works
The noun before からして is presented as the first or representative case. The rest of the set is usually left unstated: if this one part is already luxurious, careless, unusual, or impressive, the listener is invited to expect the same of the whole.
One example points to the whole
The wider evaluation may be positive or negative. What matters is that the selected feature supports a broader impression.
このホテルは、ロビーからして豪華だ。
This hotel is luxurious starting with the lobby.

Representative example or basis for judgment?
The two uses of からして often overlap. This page emphasizes a noun that is one illustrative member or feature of a broader set. The other use emphasizes evidence from which a conclusion is drawn, with no need for the noun to represent a larger set. In real sentences, both viewpoints may be available, so context and emphasis matter more than a rigid boundary.
足跡の大きさからして、犯人は大人だろう。
Judging from the size of the footprints, the culprit was probably an adult.
