次第As soon as
次第 says that a planned response will follow promptly once an awaited event occurs. It is especially common in formal promises, instructions, notices, and procedures.
How it works
The first event is still pending when the sentence is said or written. The following clause gives a controllable action or an institutional result that will occur without avoidable delay. The meaning is therefore closer to “once this is done, we will promptly…” than to a neutral “after.”

Instructions and notices
The response can be an instruction to someone or an automatic step specified by a rule or procedure.
Distinguishing similar forms
The pattern on this page is verb stem + 次第 + response: the response follows promptly when a pending event occurs. Noun + 次第だ or 次第で instead means that an outcome depends on something. Plain clause + 次第です formally explains circumstances or reasons. Finally, たら is a broader condition: it does not by itself promise prompt action and is much more natural in casual conversation.
