Use this pattern to say where a person or thing already under discussion is. Mark that person or thing with , and mark the location with .

What the sentence is about

The sentence begins with the person or thing whose location you want to give. In this use, the particle is written but pronounced . The location comes next with , followed by the appropriate existence verb.

Use ある for things and いる for people and animals.
