入会 (にゅうかい) is for formal membership with procedures (clubs, associations). 加入 (かにゅう) is for enrollment in systems or insurance. 参加 (さんか) is for participation in activities or groups without strict membership.
While メンバーになる is acceptable, directly translating 'become' as 〜になる is not always natural. Use specific verbs like 入会する or 登録する when appropriate.
