Do not translate 'cutting-edge' literally as 切る刃 (cutting blade). This would be nonsensical in Japanese. Use the compound nouns or phrases provided.
Most of these expressions are nouns. To use them as modifiers, attach の before the noun (e.g., 最先端の技術). Some, like 画期的, are な-adjectives and use な before nouns.
