Used after the attributive form of a verb or adjective to give a reason or explanation, often with an apologetic or explanatory tone. Similar to から but more subjective and emotive.

• 電でん車しゃが遅おくれたものだから、遅ち刻こくしてしまいました。

  The train was late, so I ended up being tardy.

• あまりに美味おいしかったものだから、食たべ過すぎてしまった。

  It was so delicious that I ended up eating too much.
