noun
Nyquist frequency
In signal processing, the highest frequency that can be accurately represented at a given sampling rate; equal to half the sampling rate.
サンプリングレートが44.1kHzの場合、ナイキスト周波数は22.05kHzです。
When the sampling rate is 44.1 kHz, the Nyquist frequency is 22.05 kHz.
Named after Harry Nyquist, a Swedish-American electronic engineer. The term is a direct loan from English 'Nyquist frequency'.
