Formal letter-closing phrase used at the end of correspondence, similar to 'sincerely' or 'yours truly'. Often paired with 不宣 (ふせん) as a set phrase 不宣不尽.

From classical Chinese letter-writing conventions. 不 (not) + 尽 (exhaust) literally means 'not exhausted', implying that the writer has more to say but must end the letter, with the promise to write again.
