Wu Hu; Five Barbarians
Historical term for five non-Han tribes that migrated into northern China during the 4th–6th centuries CE: Xiongnu, Jie, Xianbei, Di, and Qiang. Used primarily in discussions of Chinese history.

From Chinese 五胡 (Wǔ Hú), literally 'five barbarians'. The term refers to five non-Han ethnic groups that played a major role in the fall of the Western Jin dynasty.
