Often used in the proverb 似た者同士 (にたものどうし) meaning 'birds of a feather flock together' or 'like attracts like'. Can also stand alone to refer to people who are alike.
あの二人は本当に似た者同士だね。
Those two are really birds of a feather, aren't they?
趣味が合うのは、似た者だからかもしれない。
Maybe we get along because we're similar people.
