免めんじて

in consideration of; out of respect for; for someone's sake

Used in the pattern ...に免じて to indicate that an action is taken or forgiven out of regard for a person or thing. Often implies leniency or special treatment.

• 彼かれのこれまでの功こう績せきに免めんじて、今こん回かいだけは許ゆるしてあげよう。

  In consideration of his past achievements, I'll forgive him just this once.

• お母かあさんに免めんじて、今日きょうは喧けん嘩かをやめなさい。

  For your mother's sake, stop fighting today.
