Used in comparisons to say that someone or something is not inferior to another, often in the pattern ～に劣らず. The glosses 'with the best of them' and 'as the next fellow' are colloquial English equivalents.
彼はプロに劣らず上手にギターを弾く。
He plays the guitar as well as a professional.
この店のラーメンは有名店に劣らず美味しい。
The ramen at this shop is as delicious as that of famous restaurants.
