Rare directional expression used in the traditional Kyoto street-address system. Indicates that a location is south of a named street, similar to how 下ル means 'below' or 'south of' in the same system. Not used in everyday conversation.

In a Kyoto address, it says 'Shijō-dōri Minami-iru' (south of Shijō Street).
Also used in Kyoto addresses to mean 'south of' or 'below' a street. 南入ル explicitly uses the character for 'south', while 下ル uses the verb 'to go down'.
