deluded mind

Buddhist term for a mind clouded by klesha (mental defilements), unable to perceive the true nature of reality. Often contrasted with 真心 (しんしん, true mind) or 菩提心 (ぼだいしん, bodhi-mind).

妄もう心しんを離はなれてこそ、真しん実じつの智ち慧えが現あらわれると説とかれる。
It is taught that true wisdom appears only when one leaves behind the deluded mind.
仏ぶっ教きょうでは、妄もう心しんが苦くるしみの原げん因いんの一ひとつとされる。
In Buddhism, the deluded mind is considered one of the causes of suffering.
