実じっ際さいは

Used to introduce a statement that contrasts with a previous assumption or expectation, or to reveal the true situation. Often appears at the beginning of a sentence.

• 彼かれは若わかく見みえるが、実じっ際さいは40歳さいだ。

  He looks young, but actually he is 40 years old.

• 実じっ際さいは、そんなに簡かん単たんなことではない。

  In reality, it's not that simple.
