A somewhat literary or poetic set phrase for a wish that cannot come true or a desire that remains out of reach. The negative form 届かぬ is an older written-style equivalent of 届かない.
彼女への想いは、もはや届かぬ願いとなった。
My feelings for her have become an unfulfillable wish.
