Used when someone stubbornly insists on their own opinion or way of doing things, often in a group setting. Can carry a negative nuance of being unyielding.

In meetings, he always insists on his own ideas and doesn't listen to others.
我を立てるばかりでは、チームワークはうまくいかない。
If you only push your own way, teamwork won't go well.
