Archaic literary expression for publishing a book, evoking the image of carving printing blocks from catalpa wood. Not used in modern everyday speech.
彼の遺稿は没後ようやく梓に上せられた。
His posthumous manuscripts were finally published after his death.
From 梓 (catalpa tree, whose wood was used for woodblock printing) + に + 上せる (to raise, to present). The phrase originally referred to the act of carving printing blocks and presenting a finished book.
