Thick, round chopsticks used at celebratory meals such as New Year's, weddings, and other auspicious occasions. Often made of willow or bamboo, and may be decorated.
During New Year's, we use festive chopsticks to eat osechi dishes.
At the wedding reception, festive chopsticks were provided.
