Refers to a traditional set of seven autumn flowers: bush clover (hagi), Chinese silvergrass (susuki), kudzu (kuzu), fringed pink (nadeshiko), golden lace (ominaeshi), thoroughwort (fujibakama), and balloon flower (kikyō). Often contrasted with 春の七草 (the seven herbs of spring).
