ニュートン力学では絶対静止の概念が用いられた。
In Newtonian mechanics, the concept of absolute rest was used.
絶対静止 is the state of no motion, while 絶対運動 is absolute motion; they are complementary concepts in classical physics.
Compound of 絶対 (absolute) and 静止 (rest, standstill). The term is a direct translation of the Western physics concept 'absolute rest'.
