Archaic honorific verb combining 褒める (to praise) with the humble/respectful auxiliary 奉る. Used in classical or highly formal contexts to express deep respect when praising someone. In modern Japanese, it is largely replaced by お褒め申し上げる or お褒めになる.
古い文書では、主君の徳を褒め奉る表現がよく見られる。
In old documents, expressions that praise the lord's virtues are often seen.
褒め奉る is an archaic expression that is hardly used today.
