Archaic intransitive verb. Describes being thoroughly soaked, especially by rain. Not used in modern Japanese; the modern equivalent is ずぶ濡れになる or びしょ濡れになる.
古歌に「降りそぼちて」と詠まれた表現がある。
In an old poem, there is the expression 'furisobochite' (being drenched).
