Usage patterns

• 〈人ひと〉のおむつを替かえるto change someone's diaper

  赤あかちゃんのおむつを替かえてあげた。

  I changed the baby's diaper for her.

• おむつが濡ぬれるfor a diaper to get wet

  おむつが濡ぬれて泣ないている。

  The baby is crying because its diaper is wet.

• おむつをするto wear/put on a diaper

  寝ねるときはおむつをする。

  She wears a diaper when she sleeps.

• おむつが取とれるto be potty-trained (lit. have the diaper come off)

  うちの子こはもうおむつが取とれた。

  My child is already potty-trained.
