Attaches to color or sensory nouns to indicate a slight hint of that quality. Common with color terms like 緑がかる (greenish).

The way he talks has something of a theatrical air to it.
ぶる means to affect or put on the air of something (e.g. 学者ぶる 'act like a scholar'), similar to がかる's sense of taking on an impression, but ぶる implies conscious pretension while がかる can be unintentional.
帯びる means to bear or take on a quality (often a color or tone, as in 赤みを帯びる), overlapping with がかる's color-tinge sense but 帯びる is a full verb requiring a particle, not a suffix attached directly to the noun.
がかる is another literary suffix meaning 'to have a tinge or air of' (芝居がかる 'theatrical'), very close to めく in register and function but slightly rarer in modern usage.
