Humble expression used when the speaker is allowed or given the opportunity to do something, often with a sense of gratitude. Commonly follows the causative form of a verb (e.g., ～させていただく).

• 本ほん日じつは休きゅう業ぎょうさせていただきます。

  We will be closed today (lit. we humbly take the liberty of closing).

• 先さきに帰かえらせていただきます。

  I'll be leaving before you (lit. I humbly take the liberty of leaving first).
