Usage patterns

• 〈人ひと〉がキッチンに立たつfor someone to stand in the kitchen (i.e. to cook)

  母ははは毎まい朝あさ早はやくからキッチンに立たっている。

  My mother is in the kitchen cooking every morning from early on.

• キッチンに〈物もの〉を置おくto keep/place something in the kitchen

  使つかいやすいように調ちょう味み料りょうをキッチンに置おいている。

  I keep the seasonings in the kitchen so they're easy to use.

• キッチンを片かた付づけるto tidy up/clean the kitchen

  食しょく事じの後あとはすぐにキッチンを片かた付づける。

  I tidy up the kitchen right after meals.
