Usage patterns

• 〈物もの〉にサンドペーパーをかけるto sand something (with sandpaper)

  木もく材ざいにサンドペーパーをかけて表ひょう面めんを滑なめらかにした。

  I sanded the wood to make the surface smooth.

• サンドペーパーで〈物もの〉を磨みがくto polish/rub something with sandpaper

  サンドペーパーで金きん属ぞくのさびを磨みがき落おとした。

  I used sandpaper to polish off the rust from the metal.

• 目めの細こまかいサンドペーパーfine-grit sandpaper

  仕し上あげには目めの細こまかいサンドペーパーを使つかう。

  For the finishing touches, use fine-grit sandpaper.
