Indoor slippers worn in Japanese homes, schools, and some workplaces. Often used in the plural form in English but the Japanese word is the same.
Please change into slippers when you enter the house.
The school slippers didn't fit.
Please put on slippers at the entrance.
Please take off your slippers when you leave the room.
When I get to school, I change from my shoes into slippers.
